Already playing pickleball? Have a DUPR rating or grade from another club? We can assign you a SUNS grade based on your demonstrated ability.

How It Works
1. Submit Your Request

2. We Review (5-7 business days)
We'll verify your DUPR or club grade and assign your SUNS grade.
3. Start Playing
You'll receive email confirmation and your OpenSports access will be updated.
What Information to Provide
If You Have DUPR:
- DUPR rating and DUPR ID (find at mydupr.com)
- Minimum 60% reliability for automatic assignment
- Less than 60%? We may request a grading session
If You Have a Grade from Another Club:
- Club name and your assigned grade
- When you received the grade
- Optional: tournament results, match videos

Important Notes
DUPR Reliability: We require 60%+ reliability (typically 8-10+ matches) for accurate placement.
Grade Verification: We may verify grades from other clubs or request additional evidence to maintain system integrity.
Be Honest: Grade inflation helps no one. You'll have more fun at the right level!

Option 2: Attend a monthly grading session to demonstrate skills
Option 3: Play at assigned grade and build your DUPR through leagues
Grades aren't permanent – you'll progress as you improve!
Alternative: Grading Sessions
Don't have DUPR or club grade? Attend monthly grading sessions:
- 2-hour round-robin format
- Results within 3 business days
- Maximum grade: Intermediate

Upgrading Your Grade
DUPR Pathway (Primary):
- Play DUPR leagues → reach threshold with 100% reliability → submit upgrade
- Standard → Intermediate: 2.5 DUPR
- Intermediate → Challenger: 3.0 DUPR
- Challenger → Advanced: 3.5 DUPR
Assessment Pathway:
- Monthly grading sessions for New Player → Standard → Intermediate
