Follow these simple steps to book your first SUNS session

Navigate to the SUNS Pickleball club page:

Need to cancel? Please do so as early as possible:
â ī¸ Cancellation Policy: Please cancel at least 24 hours before the session start time to receive a full refund (if applicable). Late cancellations may not be eligible for refunds. Check the specific session's cancellation policy when booking.
đĄ Be Considerate: Cancelling early allows other members on the waitlist to take your spot! If you frequently cancel at the last minute, it impacts the whole community.

Q: Do I need to be a SUNS member to book sessions?
A: While you can browse sessions without membership, most sessions are restricted to SUNS members. Non-members may be able to attend some open sessions.
Q: How much do sessions cost?
A: Session costs vary depending on the type and duration. SUNS members typically pay $10-$15 per session. The exact cost is shown on each session listing before you book.
Q: What if I can't find any available sessions?
A: Sessions are released regularly! Check back frequently, or join the waitlist for full sessions. You can also follow our social media or join our member groups to get notified when new sessions are posted.
Q: Can I bring a guest or friend?
A: Guests are welcome at most Open sessions! They'll need to create their own OpenSports account and book their own spot. Check the specific session details for any guest policies or fees.
Q: What happens if a session is cancelled?
A: If a session is cancelled by the host (due to weather, court availability, etc.), you'll receive an immediate notification via email and app. Any payments will be automatically refunded to your OpenSports account.
Q: Do I need my own paddle and equipment?
A: While we encourage members to bring their own paddles, SUNS has equipment available to borrow. Balls are provided at all sessions. Just bring yourself, water, and appropriate court shoes!
Q: I'm having trouble with OpenSports. Who can help?
A: For technical issues with the OpenSports platform, contact OpenSports support directly through the app or at support@opensports.net. For SUNS-specific questions, reach out to our committee at team@sunspickleball.com.au.
Q: Why do some sessions have skill level requirements?
A: To ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience, some sessions are grade-specific. This allows players of similar skill levels to compete fairly and have more competitive games. Check out our Grading System to learn more about skill levels and how to get graded.
